Group Vision

Vision insurance can reduce your overall costs for routine preventive eye exams, corrective lenses or contact lenses, and frames. Most vision plans also offer discounts on elective vision correction surgery, such as LASIK and PRK and other special needs. To maximize the benefits of a vision plan it is important to use providers within the plans network. This allows you to take advantage of pre-negotiated rates for services and often times access to wholesale pricing for supplies.
It is important to understand that most vision plans have a benefit period for exams and materials. This period is typically 12 months or 24 months. You can only use the benefit once in the allowed benefit period. For example, if you get your eye exam in March of this year and then go again for you next exam in February of next year it will not be covered.
Early detection of vision problems or issues can allow new medications, procedures, or surgical interventions the best chance for success and preserve your vision for a lifetime.
