Billing Grace Periods Ending
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, many carriers began offering grace periods to alleviate any financial hardship due to closures. However, we are now entering the end of that grace period, and carriers will be requiring their policyholders to settle any deferred payments.
The first carrier ending their grace period is Travelers. Their billing relief was effective March 26 to June 15, 2020. On June 16th, this relief period ended. If your policy is under Travelers and you wish to know how to address your deferred payments, then don’t hesitate to contact us! Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (703) 961-8886. Or, you can contact your agent directly.
Selective will also be ending their grace period on July 6th, 2020. Selective will be contacting those who have taken advantage of the grace period to request they make all deferred payments or to discuss alternate payment options. To ensure your policy remains in force, you can make payments through the Selective website or mobile app. You can also contact the Selective Customer Care team at (800) 735-3284 or email@example.com. Please note that failure to settle these deferred payments could result in cancellation of your coverage. Make sure that you are aware of any unsettled payments and work to settle them as soon as possible.
